An amazing educational construction site
The guide will lead the children around the Guédelon medieval construction site and explain the work of the main crafts on site, the role and the function of a castle, and reveal the secrets of medieval castle-builders. These interactive and lively visits offer children an alternative way of exploring history and heritage craft skills. Be transported to another age!

English guide book in hand, journey with the children around the medieval construction site at your own pace. Watch the castle-builders at work: the quarrymen, stonemasons, woodcutters, carpenters, tilers, blacksmiths, rope maker and carters. Take time to talk to the craftsmen and women: they will explain their work, the tools they use and the role they play in the castle-construction.
Visit the finished chambers inside the castle: the kitchen, the storeroom, the bedchamber, the Great Hall and see for yourself how work is progressing on site. And don’t forget to leave time to wend your way through the forest to visit the miller.
