An idea sprang to mind: \\u2018What if we built a fortified castle just like in the Middle Ages?\\u2019&lt;\\\/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We discovered an old sandstone quarry nestled in the heart of a forest. Almost completely hidden by the vegetation, this quarry turned out to be a veritable El Dorado! Like pioneers in a forgotten or unknown land, we set about clearing the site and probing the ground to make priceless discoveries: water sources, stone, sand in flamboyant colours, iron ore, pigments, hard and soft woods, clay and loam. How is this material \u2013 essential for the construction of any building in the Middle Ages \u2013 produced from limestone?
